Routes

The hop-on hop-off bus has two routes, each taking around 2 hours. So you can get around the whole city without all the walking. Just hop on, enjoy the views, and hop off whenever you see something you want to explore. It’s a fun and relaxed way to discover the city at your own pace.

  • Blue Route: goes to the north side of the city, where you can see more of Gaudí’s amazing buildings like Park Guell and Casa Batlló. If you’re a football fan, you’ll love the stop near Spotify Camp Nou.
  • Red Route: takes you through the city center, where you’ll pass famous places like the Sagrada Familia, Plaça de Catalunya, and the fancy shopping street Passeig de Gràcia. You’ll also see Montjuïc hill, cool museums, and the old Gothic Quarter full of history and charm.

Both routes are included in one ticket, so you can switch anytime and see as much as you want at the transfer point.

FAQs

Which route should I do first on the Barcelona hop-on hop-off bus?

Start with the route that matches your priority sights. The Blue Route heads north to Park Güell, Casa Batlló, and Spotify Camp Nou. The Red Route covers the city centre: Sagrada Familia, Passeig de Gràcia, Montjuïc, and the Gothic Quarter.

Is the Barcelona hop-on hop-off bus worth it?

Yes, if you want to cover a lot of ground without planning your own transport. Two routes and 38 stops put Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Montjuïc, and Camp Nou all within reach. Each full loop runs about 2 hours, so a 48-hour ticket gives you time to do both routes properly.

How much do hop-on hop-off bus tickets cost in Barcelona?

Tickets come in 24-hour and 48-hour options for adults, seniors, and children, with kids under 4 riding free. The 48-hour pass works out cheaper per day. For current prices, check here.

Where does the hop-on hop-off bus depart from in Barcelona?

Plaça de Catalunya is the main hub for both routes. From there, you can pick up either the Red Route or the Blue Route without backtracking. You can also join at any stop along the way.
